Eden and Cousin Bella's "Dual" Birthday Party.

I know. You are so tired of hearing me talk about birthday parties that you are about to quit reading this blog all together. But, for the sake of tradition, I have to post about Eden 5th birthday party. After this, you will not hear of me mentioning the word "birthday" for at least another week. (Note: Brandon's 30th birthday is August 3rd ;) )

As I have mentioned before, my brother and sister in law are expecting their second child in August. Coincidentally, the baby's due date is the same day as Cousin Bella's birthday (August 2nd). So, we decided to team up with the Sampieri family and throw a cousin "dual party" bash, so Cousin Bella could have her party before baby #2 arrives, and since Eden and Cousin Bella have the same family and friends, why not??

For Eden's "three gifts" we got her the following: 

something to read: Tangled and Dr Seuss easy reader books.
something to wear: a new modest swimsuit (the one she is wearing in the pictures above)
something to play with: A Tangled doll.

When I asked her later if she liked her presents, she said that she LOVED the doll and new swimsuit, but that she "didn't really want the books, but she was thankful for them". Gotta love her honesty!

It was a Tangled/Little Mermaid event, and the picture above where Eden is holding Cousin Bella's cupcake for her? It almost caught Jami's hair on fire. No kidding. As I mention in my all things inspired: fun & frugal birthday parties post, we are always on the lookout for ways to save on kid parties. This party was a huge money saver in that we split the cost of the splash park rental, the decor, the treats, drinks, etc. And Eden and Cousin Bella loved sharing their celebration together! It was a win-win all the way around ( or a win-win-win as Michael Scott would say...)
