when you ask for something, you just might get it.

So, last week I posted a video of Eden reciting our July verse of the month (that video{here}) which was Philippians 4:13 ("I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength"). She has used this verse in everyday life over the past few weeks. Here is how:

I always love to ask Eden if she's learned any new "steps" after dance class, because she loves to perform for us in the kitchen after we arrive home. Last week, we walked in the door, and she dropped her shoe bag, and said, "Mommy, one of my friends was having trouble with the new steps this week. I whispered to her that she can do all things through Christ who gives her strength! Isn't that right, Mommy?"

Then, a few days ago, we were playing with play dough in the kitchen. And, while I was in a small panic over the colors being mixed together (Seriously. I get like a small twitch just thinking about it..), I looked over and saw her struggling to push this mass amount of play dough through a play dough toaster. In her defense, they DO make those play dough toys kinda hard to use. She stood up on her seat and breathlessly declared, "I can...DO ALL THINGS through CHRIST who gives me STRENGTH!" She pushed with all of her might when two little blue pieces of play dough toast popped from that toy toaster.

"Whoa. It really worked!" I heard her gasp under her breath.

So, what is it for you? It may not be dance steps or play dough woes, but God is there to give you strength!! Ask him today. Don't be surprised when He answers!
