:: Began the day with an early lunch at Dunkin Donuts. Their ham and cheese bagels and large iced coffee were just the jump start we needed. Oh, and the kids kept it classy by eating nuggets from a neighboring locale...::
:: It was raining when we arrived, so we scoped out the inside of the flea market first. I thought this jogging stroller was adorable, and texted a picture of it to my brother for Cousin Abby. Turns out, yes. This IS a jogging stroller. For a DOG. ::
:: Brandon loves old coins, so here the kids are vying to use the giant magnifying glass to view them..::
:: Sugar gliders. A flea market fave. There was a milli-second convo about getting one. It ended when I saw August gently pinch the sugar glider's back. As if no one saw that, Augs. Come on..::
:: A glazed, porcelain, delicately hand-painted collector's plate of the... Eisenhowers?? There is no significance to this. It just made me laugh out loud. What a great white elephant gift that would be!::
::Brandon was totally pumped; he found an old hickory high carbon steel knife and two old ladles. I have no idea what any of this means. I literally just typed the description from a text message I sent for him on Saturday. But treasures, nonetheless..::
::They had several gorgeous sewing machines, although they do not hold a candle to my grandmother's Singer, placed on the elegant, antique table in her home. I was hoping to find an old typewriter, but no such luck.::
::August begged me for this old firetruck, that was missing a few wheels on the other side. Good thing we are going to the fire hall today! (Join us?)::
:: Finally, the doll that Brandon bought Eden for $2
that he was so proud of. I laughed my head off when he showed this
"deal of a lifetime" to me. It was an old Happy Meal toy::
::Not pictured: the brown sugar pecans, wool socks, crazy old man who pointed at Titus in a gentle, yet threatening in an old man way type of way, and a mildly inappropriate book authored by Cedric the Entertainer himself::
Next time I'll bring my actual camera. These cell phone pics are not the best. And next time I'll photograph that old man. Bring it on.
What did you do this weekend? Any fun stories??
