Last week, our homeschool lessons were based around the story of the fiery furnace. We discussed the five senses in science time, then I had them make Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, point out their "five senses" and I placed the three "men" in the fiery furnace (on broil at 500 degrees).
All was fine and dandy until I read the packaging to the modeling clay. It specifically stated do NOT place in microwave or oven. Oops. White smoke started to billow from the oven, but just as in the Biblical account, they came out unharmed. Whew.
Lessons were learned all around that day....
