What's the Story, Morning Glory?

Okay. So most people do not actually look forward to rising early in the AM. I always have. I tend to be someone who "burns my candle at both ends", staying up super late and waking super early, but age is proving to me that one of those things are going to have to go soon.

And I am NOT about to give up my early mornings.

Why? Because two years ago, in January 2011, I began a journey with a group of ladies through Hello Mornings, a challenge to rise up, read God's word, and "wake FOR your kids, not TO your kids". The idea appealed to me because at that time, I was pregnant with my third child, it was winter (aka: everyone was sick) and I had missed a LOT of church and fellowship time as a result.

I knew I was drying out, and needed to be filled.

So I hopped on twitter and created an account solely to meet up online Monday-Friday with ladies I had never met and discuss God at 6am.

AND IT WAS AWESOME.

This will be my sixth Hello Mornings challenge, my second as an ACE (accountability captain encourager) and my very first as an AC, which means I will be (gulp) encouraging/leading a group of ladies on twitter from January 28th-April 26th as we kick off the winter Hello Mornings challenge!!!

Pajamas are the dress code, coffee is the beverage of choice, and a willing heart and open ears to God's leading is a must.

Lara and Katie, our lovely ladies who present our study each session, have together an amazing study on the book of Job for this session. CANNOT WAIT to dig in.

Join me? Our groups are filling fast, so go to hellomornings.org to register! You can join via facebook or twitter! If you'd like to be in my group, look for my name (Christie Elkins) under EST-twitter. Our hashtag for this session is #HMGlories, as in "Hello, Morning Glories".

(Basically, I still carry a small obsession of the band, Oasis, and their 1995 album, What's the Story, Morning Glory? hence the twitter hashtag. Ahem. Moving on..)

Looking forward to this season's hello mornings challenge. This will be my 6th time participating. I actually like to get up early, but my kids do not like me to get up early - ie alone :-) I took a bit of a break over the holidays from hauling myself out of a warm bed before the kiddos, but I am definitely ready to jump back on the wagon!

Aurie: I had signed up for your group before I felt led to AC this session. I was excited yet bummed that I had to leave your group. But hey--we always chat in the AM anyway! ;)
